Infectious diseases pose major risks to livestock production.

Operational risk

20% of global animal production is lost to disease each year [1]

Economic risk

$300 billion in annual losses for farmers [2]

Regulatory risk

Outbreaks can trigger mandatory reporting, movement restrictions, culling and trade restrictions [3] [4]

chicken

Highly pathogenic avian influenza

+140 million poultry dead or culled last year [1]

pig

African swine fever

+$140 billion in losses across China in 2019 (~1% of GDP). [6] [2]

cow

Foot-and-mouth disease

Up to $21bn/year in FMD-related production losses and control costs in endemic regions [5]

WOAH reports that around 20% of assessed countries have declining veterinary capacity [1]

Nosotrack

Livestock outbreaks are difficult to control.

When an outbreak occurs, teams need to establish quickly where it started and how it is spreading.Animal health teams need to determine:
  • where infection was introduced
  • which herds, flocks, buildings or farms are involved
  • which routes of transmission remain active
  • which measures will prevent further spread

Nosotrack

Outbreak data are fragmented, the response cannot be.

Outbreak investigation remains largely manual.Animal health teams piece together fragmented data through ad hoc analyses across multiple sources:
  • animal health and diagnostic records
  • animal and group movements
  • buildings and production flows
  • introductions and transport
  • genomic sequences, where available
This process is slow, labour-intensive, inconsistent and difficult to audit.
Nosotrack

Every outbreak leaves a trail, Nosotrack finds it.

Nosotrack turns these scattered data into a coherent reconstruction of the outbreak. The platform infers the transmission tree, informing how infections spread between animals, groups, buildings or farms to identify:
  • introductions
  • likely sources of infection
  • undetected transmission
  • the main routes of spread
  • animals and farms at risk

Outbreak forensics & control, end-to-end

Nosotrack provides a complete analytical approach to outbreak response, enabling faster, more targeted and less costly interventions in three steps:

Integrate: bring animal health records, animal and group movements, sequencing and contacts between farms into a single engine.

Reconstruct: Bayesian inference estimates transmission chains, likely sources and the animals, groups or farms most at risk.

Intervene: an AI co-pilot evaluates control scenarios in seconds and ranks them by their ability to contain the outbreak, their cost and their operational impact.

Nosotrack

Built on established methods, adopted globally

Nosotrack builds on outbreaker2 [1] [2], an open-source method developed to reconstruct transmission chains for various diseases and settings.Related approaches have been applied to:
  • foot-and-mouth disease [3] [4] [5]
  • avian influenza [6]
  • porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) [7]

Adapt Nosotrack to your farming system.

The aim is to build a solution that fits your data, production system and operational constraints. We start by understanding:
  • your main animal health challenges
  • how your production system operates
  • your existing data and tools
  • your outbreak prevention and control practices
